I Keep Looking, Asking, Knocking and ...

answers I need appear. First, I have to have the right music.

Side Note: It's 1:00AM and time to write, so I tune to the music channel and finally select True Country for my blogging support. Choices are Today's Country, True Country, Classic Country. Often I choose Easy Listening, similar to what my generation called Elevator Music, and writing, vacuuming, washing a car or the tub is easy work; tonight requires something different.

Lately, seasons of answers have been rolling in from unexpected sources. Blogs, websites, news, etc. Well, maybe NOT the news as for a reliable source but anywho. If you are familiar with religious organizations: Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Pentecostal and so on, you may have asked where these came from including the doctrine they believe. I have learned to ask these type of questions silently or from sources not connected to the organizations.
Two nights ago, I was on the Wikipedia site for Oneness Pentecostal, then linked to Holiness Pentecostal, then Ex-Oneness, Holiness, UPCI Pentecostal.

Wait, News Flash: My music just stopped and my cable is doing something weird and now shut the box and TV off. I'll be rite back. Okay, we are good. Idiot electronics.

Anyway, as I read the history, I read UPC turned into UPCI and then a group broke off to become WPF and another one called GAAAP. I am totally NOT kidding you.

Watch this:
Such denominations today include the Affirming Pentecostal Church International, the Global Alliance of Affirming Apostolic Pentecostals and Reconciling Pentecostals International. There is an Association of Former (Ex) Pentecostals and one for Recovering Pentecostals. WHAT!?!?

And you wonder why...

Let me get back on track. Sooooo, the next night I return to confirm it was not the pizza or meds. I have always, whether in or out of church, trusted my Bible for truth, taught our daughter and anyone else interested to do the same. I remarried after my first wife passed on, and our respective, collective, extended, expanded family RCEEF was and is taught the same.
Hang on for more to come:

Like any other business or company that has Management and Non-Management (often called Employees) the church has it's structure - Ministry/Clergy and Laity/Saints. In UPCI, the ministers are actually members of the parent organization where as the saints are not. I suspect the ministry calls us Saints hoping we will act better but we don't. I am a Layman or Saint and therefore member of our local congregation with an intense curiosity which has often caused some concern for our church ministry.

I digress.

Recently, several blogs came to my attention that were more of a revelation than just information. The authors were expressing their experiences with betrayal, addictions, severe rejection and how they survived. They are honest, open and, incredibly, trusting themselves to unknown readers that could destroy them in writing. After reading, I carefully and respectfully replied to each author thanking them for insight into places I have not ventured.

Blogs and articles written by certain Ex-Pentecostals were written in the same openness about their experiences with Christian groups and individuals that were not Christian in lifestyle. A Backslider from Christianity is often a miserable to everyone, ugly acting and talking, foul mouth abuser of drugs (smoking, drinking, injecting). What is worse is the Backslider still professing to be a Christian because their facade confuses young and/or naive people.
Frequently, a well meaning but dysfunctional Christian can be hurtful to a person in difficult times, causing them to believe God hates them and they leave the refuge intended to save, secure and rebuild them.

Connye, my wife and friend, were discussing certain aspects of Church people, not Christianity, but actions of people that can often discourage and drive the strongest away. We agreed that the only defense to these type of encounters is too fixate our eyes on Jesus Christ. Our obligation and duty is to assist the wounded back to safety.

I purchased three small LED flash lights about a year ago. We kept one in the house and put one in the truck.

The house flash light continued without fail but the truck flash light became intermittent. Over approximately three months, I inspected the item and did my best to diagnose the problem to no avail. Finally, I concluded to either trash the light or repair it and set aside time to focus only on the defective item. Resolved and working perfectly.

Frequently, injured people need a person to dedicate themselves to their rescue. Is every injured person going to respond to rescue efforts? No! Rescuers must employ wisdom with caution to decide who best to serve and save. Jesus could not save every one and did not continue to try when they rejected him.

Whether the World stops working this year, next or next century, our life will end independently so we should live to the fullest, most productive, with joy and peace. We only have ONE chance, so smile every day stormy or not.

Oh my, look at the time.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
BTW, the early Christians were called such because of the way they lived. Connye and I are Primary Titled Christian subtitled whatever.

The organizations I mentioned early kept morphing into a more Holy unit (according to the members). Imagine, humans getting MORE Holy than other Holy humans??

Declaration of Intent!

I am going to rest tomorrow was my declaration to Connye the night before. She had a dinner date with friends and I had recently had my Dental Bridge installed, so there. As she prepared to leave, she confirmed my status and once more I adamantly declared a day of rest for this person. Off she went.

An hour later, I awoke from a troubled sleep, thinking about rooms in disarray. My wife keeps a very clean house and yet, dysfunctional humanoid as I am, have a "need to improve".

How it is.
What I desire.

How I see it.
Connye and I are still in our Learning Phase about each other. Know what I mean, Vern?
I get a glass of tea, my trusty 25' tape  measure, a bar of chocolate, and begin to scour the land. Tuffie, the dog, climbs into his chair and feigns a coma.

About four hours later, Connye returns from her event. As she is recounting the great time they had and unpacking, there is a moment of silence.

"I see you rearranged some things."

UmHmm. I asked God to help me and he did. Sooo, it's God's fault? Supreme Revelation!!

YESSS, that's it, He TOLD me how to do it!  I am not guilty.
It all worked out much better than I thought. She observed that when I am left alone, in the house, for more than three hours something WILL happen. My version of "Home Alone". All the cleaning supplies and equipment and there - alone and sad - what is a husband to do but
  • vacuum
  • scrub
  • move
  • sweep
  • refresh and revitalize
BTW, we had rain yesterday and last night, OVER and IN DICKINSON! Usually, the Rain Manager declines our area. People will be canoeing out of their house, in surrounding parts of Houston while our grass and shrubs are dying. It appears like a Bubble over our area or a Highway Divide.

With my project completed, Connye content, Tuffie???, and long hours of rain ahead, we settled in for a loonnngggggg nap. God is good.

(how about the garage)

It's 2AM and Wondrous.

I am staring at the Moon, the Stars and the almost daylight lit yard. It is a magical, wondrous, fantasy suspended between Sundown and Sunrise. Usually, this type of moment is only experienced when we are at the lake in Hemphill and this rare high is at home in Dickinson.
The evening has been filled with reading Blogs written by people with incredible abilities to express themselves through this medium. Once my breath was taken by the depth of emotion and baring of soul. When one has paid their dues and returned from Hell to tell their story, the impact of their cost emanates as heat does from a glowing fire on a cold night.

My daughter and I visit often by phone and our conversations are a mixture of fun, concern for the NOW events, wonder about the future of their children and when will it get better. The side affect of these discourses are a broadening understanding of people, in general, and God.

Connye and I share our "family" of daughters, sons by marriage and grandchildren. We are blessed, thankful and concerned for them and the World they are continuing to mature in.

Pastor Joel Osteen commented about trust, recently, and used his daughter as an example. Joel purchase a car for his young son and his daughter asked if he would the same for her, when the time came. He assured her he would and that was settled. She never asked him again about the car, although she talked about it's color, style and how much she enjoyed it, as if she had it. She would routinely tell him how much she loved him and how great a dad he is.

His emphasis was how we should trust God in the same manner.

We are dysfunctional! Everyone we know, have known and will ever know are dysfunctional!
Our teachers, leaders of every type are also dysfunctional because we are human.

God, Jesus Christ, is perfect in every way. He can be trusted 24/7 FOREVER. Reading the variety of Blogs and the pain experienced by so many authors AND their success by depending on God confirms the trust is valid. As the mustard seed grows and fills space and provides shelter, as our trust grows, it replaces doubt, fear, worry, anxiety, etc.

You and I will be taken care of every day, week month, year, decade until our days end.

As a young Christian, I understood God ONLY cared and took care of:
  1. Christians,
  2. then certain kinds of Christians,
  3. then certain kinds and styles of Christians,
  4. then only Christians in certain part of our country and certain districts,
  5. the ONLY Pentecostal Christians
  6. and finally only SPECIFIC Pentecostals attending decreed churches.
As I grew and kept my eyes and ears and mind open to God, He corrected 1-6 and demonstrated his love and care every where to every one.

TYPE

Every KIND, POSITION.
SO! What excuse do any of us have for NOT COMPLETELY TRUSTING?

Gen 18:14  Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and…
Jer 32:17  Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Jer 32:27  Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Joh 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Mat 18:12  How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
Mat 18:13  And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Mat 18:14  Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Luk 15:4  What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
Luk 15:5  And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luk 15:6  And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Luk 15:7  I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Luk 15:8  Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
Luk 15:9  And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Luk 15:10  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Well, it is now almost 6AM and guess who is waiting to greet us.

God Almighty - Jesus Christ.

Determination Can Be Wonderfully Beneficial!

1Sa 1:2  and he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

1Sa 1:5  but unto Hannah he gave a double portion; for he loved Hannah, but Jehovah had shut up her womb.

1Sa 1:10  And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto Jehovah, and wept sore.

1Sa 1:12  And it came to pass, as she continued praying before Jehovah, that Eli marked her mouth.

1Sa 1:16  Count not thy handmaid for a wicked woman; for out of the abundance of my complaint and my provocation have I spoken hitherto.

1Sa 1:17  Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace; and the God of Israel grant thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

1Sa 1:20  And it came to pass, when the time was come about, that Hannah conceived, and bare a son; and she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.
Hannah was in a predicament many women and men have known and she determined to bring this issue to God for resolution. She was fixed in her course, with respect and humility and God gave her a son.

Rth 1:12  Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should even have a husband to-night, and should also bear sons;

Rth 1:16  And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God;

Rth 1:17  where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: Jehovah do so to me, and more also, if aught but death part thee and me.

Rth 1:18  And when she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, she left off speaking unto her.

Rth 4:11  And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. Jehovah make the woman that is come into thy house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

Rth 4:12  and let thy house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which Jehovah shall give thee of this young woman.

Rth 4:13  So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife; and he went in unto her, and Jehovah gave her conception, and she bare a son.

Rth 4:14  And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be Jehovah, who hath not left thee this day without a near kinsman; and let his name be famous in Israel.

Rth 4:15  And he shall be unto thee a restorer of life, and a nourisher of thine old age, for thy daughter-in-law, who loveth thee, who is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him.

Rth 4:16  And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.

Rth 4:17  And the women her neighbors gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Naomi went with her husband and sons away from Israel. She remained faithful to God and her husband and when they died, she determined to return to Israel. Ruth was a young woman married to one of Naomi’s sons and had determined to stay with her mother in law till death. Her strength and humility led to another husband, fine home and inclusion in the blood line of Jesus.

1Sa 14:6  And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armor, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that Jehovah will work for us; for there is no restraint to Jehovah to save by many or by few.

1Sa 14:7  And his armorbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thy heart: turn thee, behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.

1Sa 14:12  And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armorbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armorbearer, Come up after me; for Jehovah hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.

1Sa 14:13  And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armorbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armorbearer slew them after him.
The Philistines(Palestinians) were camped next to Saul’s army but he displayed no interest in fighting them. Jonathan felt like this was the time and place to move and secured the support of his armorbearer. They discussed a plan and determined to carry it out with God’s support. They won a great victory which encouraged Saul to act.

Act 15:37  And Barnabas was minded to take with them John also, who was called Mark.

Act 15:38  But Paul thought not good to take with them him who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

Act 15:39  And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus;

Act 15:40  but Paul choose Silas, and went forth, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord.

2Ti 4:11  Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering.
John Mark apparently did not have the stamina to complete a previous trip and Paul wasn’t in a coddling temperament, at this time in his life, but Barnabas saw potential and determined to keep Mark as his partner. This worked to the favor of both because John Mark matured to the place that much later, Paul requested Mark come to his aid.

History is full of individuals taking a stand for personal, social, economic, moral grounds and altering their lives, the lives of others and often affecting the policies and  future of nations. What is the difference between a Hannah and another barren woman, a Jonathan and another soldier, a Barnabas supporting Mark and a Paul rejecting him? Only God knows.
Hannah had her husband.

Batman has his butler.
Iron Man has his secretary.

A blessed Husband has his wife.

A President with integrity has a close associate of the same quality.
God puts people into this life on this Earth to accomplish his will and purposes. Each Hero and Heroine needs a backup and it appears God is the arranger of each case. The one component every successful person MUST have is a supporting partner/companion/friend.

Notice with me, he did not put Christians, he put people that may become Christian but do not have to for God to use them. I have observed that this point drives many Christians crazy but GUESS WHAT, HE DOESN'T CARE. God uses whomever it pleases him.

Presidents and Kings,
Mothers and Fathers,

Plumbers and Electricians.
Each person has a God given talent, path to walk, goal to achieve and option to choose. We humans not ONLY honor people of accomplishment, we often deify them.

When you determine to accomplish your goals as directed by God, and these may take a lifetime, you are “doing the work of God”. All of us will encounter Walls of Obstruction WOO which are people that have chosen the path of most resistance to anyone not doing things their way. These “gifted people” feel it is their inspired duty to subtly and with great efficiency harass, slowdown and misdirect others going against the main stream thought.
What I finally determined, in my 60s, was to stop finding my job and let God lead me to the career he intended for me, all my life.

I have read about people, in the Winter of their years, writing great works, creating magnificent works in wood, teaching, traveling, singing, and inspiring others with their determined attitudes. We all have our time to blossom with each event of each day preparing us for "our time". One person is awarded a Masters in their twenties, another in their nineties. Each in their time. A theme statement among these people is,"after I fulfilled all my duties, requirements and met all demands, I decided to follow my dream." Rarely were those dreams destructive.
A young writer posted a thought recently, which I considered well worth passing around. The question or thought was about raising children to love God. My opinion is there is no better determined goal than to point your or a child toward God in a healthy, mentoring manner.

In approximately 50 years of living with and without God, asking opinions of those that appeared to put time in thought, observing people choosing to include and exclude God, I became convinced by the evidence of the distinct advantages of loving and serving God than not.
I conclude with her link. I encourage you to read, meditate and add your comments. Thank you.

Let her and her readers know your thoughts.
Thanks.

Being Determined Can Be Catastrophically Costly!

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
Eve became convinced the product of this tree was what she wanted. Adam chose to join her in death and ate. Read the beginning results of their determination to disobey.

Gen 15:4 And, behold, the word of Jehovah came unto him, saying, This man shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
Gen 16:1 Now Sarai, Abram's wife, bare him no children: and she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
Gen 16:2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, Jehovah hath restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray thee, unto my handmaid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
Gen 21:1 And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
Gen 21:2 And Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
God agreed that Abram and Sarai were childless but informed him they were going to have a child. Sarai wants a child before it is too late and pressures Abram to FIX THE PROBLEM. Abram yields and the product of that determination caused thousands of years of misery that we see today.
God's determined to have his way and blesses Sarah with her child, as he said.

Gen 27:11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.
Gen 27:12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver. And I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
Gen 27:13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son. Only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
Rebekah determines her favorite son WILL have the father's best blessing and accepts a curse on herself. She had no idea of the cost of that curse.

Throughout history, we have records of people deciding they will have what they want, when they want and how they want. God is an equal reporter of his people and their actions. Christians fight God, resist his voice, disobey his Word, lie, cheat each other, commit just about every sin listed and typically justify themselves.

In the process of a Christian lifestyle, children are born and raised with the intention they will be Perfect-Good-Better-Best or at least socially acceptable in the Christian community.  Too often, the children turn out like their parents and the other prominent local Christians. Involved in this mess is an ever faithful caring God calling to every tender heart and drawing them to the Truth in Him and His Word by His Spirit.

Now those children will have the natural carnal nature of humankind to resist, while trying to refine their understanding and obedience to the Word and Spirit of God working in their hearts. God will lead and guide them to truthful living and woe to the person or persons hindering their progression.

Allow me to get personal about my experiences. I am carnal with a desire to be Christian/Christ like. I understand now that many of my hardships in my Christian life were due to my stubbornness, determined mind, ignorance of the genuine correct way of obeying. They were not Trials meant to perfect me, they were hardships from bad decisions and severely costly ones.  This covers the first 66 years of my life.

Recently, I was enjoying fulfilling my insatiable curiosity and felt the Spirit nudge me to quit and go a different way. I enjoyed what I was doing and explained all was okay. Two times, three times and THEN my computer locks up and a full screen message tells me I am in the Twilight Zone and it will cost me $200.00 USD to get out and have my PC back.

Quick call to the FBI and they explained I was being scammed with a high grade program virus. I confess my sin, asked for forgiveness and help. Mercy was granted and I only had a minor spanking with the PC restored in about one half hour.

This was one of my minor violations but was able to emphasize a long standing lesson. There are specific times when God determines his path for my life and it is important I respond correctly and timely and willingly. It is important enough, that any variant will bring immediate discipline, sometimes harsh discipline.

I have written about this before and by doing so, admitted I understand the many ways of communication between God and I. Each of us has experienced that communication in some form. Eventually, as with any lesson, the teacher is expecting the students to learn and respond correctly. In this case, the teacher knows the students are learning and choosing whether to obey or not.

God is integral to everything. GET OVER IT!

Angels are created beings that chose to serve him and minister to us.

Whatever we need to know or desire to know that is moral, ethical, righteous, and holy and in accordance with his will, we will be told or taught. If God gives a verse or a word to use for guidance or help with a choice, fine. We need to STOP picking a scripture we like and using it for our purpose. People get in a LOT of trouble doing this. Learn the context of your scripture and what the verse actually meant when it was written.

We can do (are able) what is immoral, unethical, unrighteous, unholy but we may not (do not have permission). Each of us WILL be disciplined for these types of actions. Divorce, jail, beat up, destroyed reputation, children gone.

We are designed/wired to God and certain other people he chooses. What this means is each of us hears him every day, all day. As this dispensation comes to its end, each of us desiring to receive help, from God, to endure and live; better pull our individual heads out of the ground and unplug our spiritual ears and wipe clean our spiritual eyes.

Heaven or Hell. First we will account for our actions before Him and then receive our next permanent residence orders.

I prefer you NOT believe me and get into your Bible with God.
Amen and amen.

Is It an ELEPHANT or a DUCK?!?!

I read it on the Internet, so it's true!
Seen that commercial? You can't put anything on the Internet that isn't true!

My parents, aunt, uncle raised me to believe!
The subject was on the (Radio, TV) news, I know it's true!
I read it in the News Paper!
RIGHT?!?!

Mr., Mrs. Ms., Senior, CEO, Reverend, Pastor, Father, Mother,
told me and I believed...
and then they DID the opposite.
what do i do now?

OPTIONS:

  • Drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Smoking
  • Divorce
  • Foul speaking, acting, living
  • Turn back on God, walk away and stay far away
  • Fix mind and heart on God, look on him, listen to him and stay clean
How do We separate God from...?
If he is so powerful...!
i tried praying and fasting...
i don't believe anymore.
Joh 18:38  Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find no crime in him.

Agree, with yourself, Truth does exist.
Trust yourself and gradually another person.
Be open to and search for Truth - Patiently and Continuously.

I won't insult you by saying that all will be perfect after finding Truth, because life and people are NEVER perfect, just acceptable. Knowing Truth will be and feel more secure and your confidence in God will mature. As your confidence matures, your relationship with Him will improve, with understanding that He is not responsible for everything we do.

BELIEVE GOD'S WRITTEN WORD.

BELIEVE GOD.

BELIEVE YOURSELF.

BELIEVE ANOTHER.

So, what's the answer? Is It an ELEPHANT or a DUCK?!?!

With all the misinformation, lies, 1/2-1/4-1/8 truth is still a lie, photo shop abilities, special affects and confusion, it can be hard to know. NOT impossible but hard. So what do we rely on?

Mat 22:16  And they send to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Mar 12:14  And when they were come, they say unto him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and carest not for any one; for thou regardest not the person of men, but of a truth teachest the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Mar 12:32  And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he:
Luk 4:25  But of a truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land;
Luk 4:26  and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
Luk 4:27  And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.
Joh 3:20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.
Joh 3:21  But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.
Joh 8:32  and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:17  even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.
Joh 17:17  Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

The doubters of Jesus time still detected and acknowledged Jesus taught the Truth. The morons of his time still knew what truth was.

Luke records Jesus reminding us when God sent a person to one other person in need.
You may be that ONE person with help on the way to you.

Knowing the Truth will free us to act accordingly.

I have always believed many scriptures were meant for everyday use, in our careers and other endeavours. John 16:13, for example, has helped me with plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry and thousands of ordinary functions necessary, at the time.  I am one of MANY that believe in praying for and about everything. Some prayers are months long, others minutes or seconds and SOME are OMG, what do I do now.

Not sure 'bout this?

Try Him not Me.

You may be thinking, "Who cares whether it's an Elephant or a Duck?".

It could mean the difference between living or dying.

Have each one STEP on you and let me know if the difference is important.

I have experienced indifferent thinking and watched my career, dreams, reputation die. We all have watched others choose death over life and seen careers, talents, health, marriages, reputations die and some went down with them.

Choosing Truth to live by here will carry us and others to Life in Eternity.

3Jn 1:2  Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3Jn 1:3  For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth.
3Jn 1:4  Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
3Jn 1:5  Beloved, thou doest a faithful work in whatsoever thou doest toward them that are brethren and strangers withal;

Our lives influence - intended or not - like it or not.

Elephant or Duck?
