Soooo, Where IS The Promise Land?

Have you had the same question?

Thought...I left my captivity...I feel free, but...Where is the abundance?

Exo 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: Exo 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
WHY am I Here?

Exo 16:4  Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

The Israelites left Egypt, went to the Desert of Sinai and spent a year there. They received the Ten Commandments, detailed instructions for daily living with opportunities for application. We know not all went well, so let us move on.

In our lives we often are set free from abuse, sin or wrong teaching but find ourselves camped in the Desert of Sinai instead of the land of Canaan. How long will I be here? You ask. I thought all was going to be better but again, I am not sure what to do!

The Israelites had know only slavery, abuse and loss of hope. They needed emotional and spiritual healing and the Desert of Sinai was their prepping ground. Yours may be a home church or larger facility with classes or private Bible lessons at work. Regular church attendance to hear teaching and preaching about the Bible, God and life will help mature and stabilize you. Developing friendships and attending socials will bond you to other Christians, the lifestyle and answer questions about daily living.

Gradually, camp (spiritually) breaks and you begin your journey to Canaan. Physically, you are in the same places as before, but health improves, finances increase and bills are paid.

Wait a minute! I know people in church that are ill and some permanently disabled. Have you ever visited a sick friend or stranger, to encourage them, and had them encourage you instead? Who was healthier, You or the Sick person?

As you learn, Learn Correctly. Trust God, His Spirit and His written Word. Humans, even Christian humans, by nature can be wrong about specific items. When answers do not seem to match the Word, then depend on Jesus.

Joh_16:7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Joh_16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
People mature differently, so don't compare your situations or status with others. Read, Test, Try, Apply, Believe and Trust the written Word and the Spirit of God always.

NOW THE HARDEST PART!
Rom_15:13  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Col_3:15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
You and I have a will to choose Peace in place of Fear and Worry.
PEACE
Restful days and nights.
Calm stomach, enjoy each meal.
Hope for your wonderful future.

orrrrrr...

FEAR n WORRY
Troubled days, Sleepless nights.
Upset stomach, food doesn't settle.
Gorging junk food.
Little or no hope for a better future.

Peace is worth the effort and it will take EFFORT.
When we have Peace, we are IN the Promise Land.

God bless.
