Truth Is The Way I See It And Hear It. PERIOD!

Have you ever thought or said this OR heard another say it?

"If you want the truth about a matter, come ask me".
I have experienced all three, many times and of course hear, "Who died and left you God?". Many of my working years were with companies that wanted and hired very individualistic, driven people. This philosophy worked fine until the Team Fad came along.

Our system believes in education and training but if both are presented incorrectly, then the results are incorrectly operating people. The - individualistic, driven people - have to be educated and trained to perform in a Team environment or they will respond as they live and work.

I have attended classes and taken surveys to "identify" my personality, temperament, hidden self and was informed I was or am:
  • Blue Green with Yellow and Red
  • Type BA4
  • Primarily Phlegmatic and occasionally Sanguine
  • Asperger
depending on the test. I have taken these declarations and labels seriously and still do but they never fully answered my questions, UNTIL now.

Insights was, in my opinion, the best of the lot and it has taken almost ten years to understand and correctly interpret their data of myself and my view of others. I am convinced others picked up on it much quicker than I, Alex, Tom and Sean, for example. You folks were SO patient with me. My hat is off to you, Ann, for handling the hair remark so well.

We experience the world corporately and these experiences are filtered, sorted, categorized and filed in our individual internal library. Depending on our makeup according to the bullets above, we regurgitate our contents upon request or at liberty with varying degrees of conviction.

regurgitate
 verb (used with object)
to give back or repeat, especially something not fully understood or assimilated:
to regurgitate the teacher's lectures on the exam.

Quotation by Theodore Roszak

Computers "remember" things in the form of discrete entries: the input of quantities, graphics, words, etc. Each item is separable, perhaps designated by a unique address or file name, and all of it subject to total recall. Unless the machine malfunctions, it can regurgitate everything it has stored exactly as it was entered, whether a single number or a lengthy document. This is what we expect of the machine.
Human memory, on the other hand, is the invisible psychic adhesive that holds our identity together from moment to moment. This makes it a radically different phenomenon from computer memory. For one thing, it is fluid rather than granular, more like a wave than a particle. Like a wave, it spreads through the mind, puddling up here and there in odd personal associations that may be of the most inexplicable kind. It flows not only through the mind, but through the emotions, the senses, the body.
We remember things as no computer can—in our muscles and reflexes: how to swim, play an instrument, use a tool.

WHaattttt...did you say??

Simply put, I owe the next person the courtesy and respect to:
  • Listen attentively
  • Meditate on their view
  • Compare my view with theirs and modify, if worth it
  • Assume the position of subject, instead of King or worse GOD.
My data bank has been on Full Review for the past weeks of certain people in my life. At least 50 years of conscious memories (some might wonder if I had unconscious memories) of those "other" people that did not seem to fit any mold, until NOW. A brother in law, a co-worker, a minister, a teacher, a family member...

I feel better about myself because I am finally realizing the reasons WHY I act like I do. NOW, I am responsible for my actions and words as well as accountable. I also have a refined knowledge and understanding of how and possibly when to use this valuable tool to assist anyone asking for help.
Sixty years - Thank God!

My daughter recently asked if our lake house was "on the water" and as I looked out the window at the lake answered, "It's about 150 ft away" and she replied to her Asperger dad, "And that would be On the water, Dad." Now that I have a definition, I will answer future inquires as Yes.

A stranger once encouraged me, on a rainy, cold, day, in a not so fast food place, far from home, to "Make it a good day. " My filters are in a "continuous adjustment mode" now and I anticipate better experiences, I trust you will also.

Oh, by the way, I am open to suggestions and different views on the truth of that matter.

Opportunity or Excuse.

I have always felt different from other people. What seemed simple to others was an obstacle for me; reading and interpreting the menu at any cafeteria or fast food place.
Eventually, I heard about autism and autistic people but didn't spend much time on the topic, until, our grandsons were diagnosed as such. Autism and Asperger are labels for people with certain behavioral characteristics that tend to be at odds with more "normal" social behavior.

Approximately, two years later, and reading numerous articles on the subject, I noticed a familiarity with the descriptions of Asperger and myself. My wife and I have discussed the descriptions compared to several of my actions and agree it could explain why I act as I do.

So let's cut the verbiage, you "wake up" one day and boom, here you are.
  • Your child is born different.
  • You are different and you do not know why.
  • You wake up and cannot move. Stroke.
  • The doctor says your wife/husband has Alzheimer.
  • You are 50+ and discover you are Autistic or Asperger
  • The family illness and support has sucked your finances dry.
No, it isn't going to end soon or easily. No one has your answer, although they have plenty to say and with a lot of conviction.

Are each going to be our opportunity or our excuse?

I really hate to say any of these could be viewed as an opportunity to advance, mature or learn. I would rather excuse myself from doing anything and just crawl into a deep, dark, quiet hole and sit, quietly for a long time.

As you know, excuses run out of energy and the problem is still there and even matured some.

Well what do we do? How about we call on Jesus, focus on him, get close to a really good friend and walk through each day. You may be familiar with the saying, There will be good days and bad days.

The good days will vary in their goodness
and
The bad days really suck (Slang . to be repellent or disgusting: Poverty sucks.)

As I look back over my life, I am disappointed that I did not know God better and understand his method of talking to me and guiding me. I anticipate my future, in spite of my past errors, because having 50 conscious years of experience, listening and obeying will overcome or at least compensate my deficiencies.

Our daughter was different and I was excited by her abilities. She:
  • could play a piano at 4 and was taking lessons by 8.
  • graduated valedictorian at 16 and received her Associates Degree at 18.
  • had a sensitive spirit and awareness to God.
She had her struggles as many young people do and with God excelled them.

I have watched people struggle with events that stressed every ounce of intergity they had; dark times, very dark times, and with help came through them. Stunned, bruised, weathered and stronger, secure that God was there helping, encouraging, strengthening and carrying, to the bright sunny day of success (the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors).

When Connye and I married we each gained sons and daughters and grand sons and grand daughters. Each of our children and grandchildren are equally precious whether by blood, marriage or bestowal. I trust in God for our future and whatever it holds.

Amen and Amen.

About That Guy On The Cross...And The Tree

Where is the Tree of Life and What and Where is Paradise?

Gen 2:8 And Jehovah God planted a garden eastward, inEden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made Jehovah God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of lifealso in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Was it something he said? Or was it something he felt?

Luk 23:41And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Luk 23:42And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.

Consider Jesus' reply and the time. Where did the man go, when he died?

Luk 23:43And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

BTW, think about God's concern with people as you read the following:

Mat 27:50 And Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

Mat 27:51 And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent;

Mat 27:52 and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;

Mat 27:53 and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many.

These woke up and walked into Jerusalem. In your opinion, what do you think they talked about? What was their assignment? How were the events of Acts influenced by the previous visit of the saints in Matthew?

Let's consider the following: Could they have gone into cities and homes and businesses to visit?

1Co 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And how it affected the outcome recorded in Revelation:

Rev 7:9 After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of alltribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, These that are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and whence came they?

Rev 7:14 And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Paradise is a Garden and a Holding Center:

Rev 2:7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Rev 22:2in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

Your Illness Is Terminal!

Your illness is terminal and you have __________ left.
We are told and tell one another we will die and yet only when faced with the reality of dying do we feel it. Although, we accept facts from knowledgeable people that our bodies continually renew themselves, we agree we will die - but not tomorrow or next week or ....
  • Until you walk in on a burglary and the assailant points a gun at you or,
  • You are driving home from the play, it was nice and you are relaxed, and from the oncoming traffic a car veers straight toward you or,
  • Some official person calls you into their office and gently tells you your illness is stage xx and you have only so much time.
Your body and mind become numb and a variety of emotions too diverse to list slam into you, family and friends. In those few seconds before the gun fires or the car hits you head-on - you either crave to live or not die.

What does that mean, "crave to live or not die"? Aren't you saying the same thing? No! Some think of their children, spouse, the unfinished painting, the planned dream cruise; and desire to continue living and caring for their loved ones and enjoying their life. Others have unfinished business in their career, an apology left unsaid, an unsettled soul not ready.

Of course, there is the Rare human with a resignation and peace to leave this Life to be with our Lord. This type of person is an example and the envy of those that worry about life and death. This person lives in confidence of God's Word making life a joy and death a welcome transition.

For decades, I and we have heard of the return of the Lord and like many, the math didn't add up; and we continued life as usual. Let's skip the word Rapture and consider the diagnosis, some are going to DIE while others LIVE. Certain information combined with world events, over the last 50 years, have convinced me we are headed into that distinct, definite and eternal next phase.

We ALL are going to physically DIE - PERIOD - but our spiritual being is going to continue living, either WITH God or APART from God. To be WITH God is to live while being SEPARATE from God is to die. The experiences of watching others die or learning of their departure has absolutely convinced me everyone knows eternity is real; regardless of their speech. We are hard wired with the DNA of eternity.

I have also been convinced that within everyone is a part of their Creator that defines Eternal Death and Eternal Life. The realization of how short our time is on this planet is intensely sobering, for me; and is like a sign board, in the sky, stating, "Human Beings, you are Stage 6 and have x days. Whatever you have to do, do quickly and correctly. God/Time will not delay."

By the way, your illness? It's life. Life is terminal. Eternity is not.

As the United Nations continues preparation to become The World Governing Agency, we should be preparing for a safe place to live.

Mat 24:32  Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

Mat 24:33  even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.

Mat 24:34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.

Mar 13:28  Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

Mar 13:29  even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.

Mar 13:30  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.

Luk 21:29  And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:

Luk 21:30  when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh.

Luk 21:31  Even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh.

Luk 21:32  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished.

Nature Is So Efficient.

I finally have the opportunity to sit, observe, think and be amazed. Nature is amazingly efficient and will have its way. Banana plants in our neighbors yard have been adding leaves daily. I thought the drought had killed them, last year, but with time and rain, they have returned to their previous health. Many events others have know for decades, I am just learning and the experience is still exciting. A stalk grows up from the plant, then unfolds its leaf. I am waiting for this year's bananas.

The diurnal Anoles and nocturnal Geckos are doing well. Each begins and ends their shift approximately the same time each day. We have a family of four Geckos, with two at the front door and two at the rear. Bugs are drawn to the light each night and, Wola, food is fresh and ready. The lizards only eat live creatures and they depend on movement to determine life or death; sort of like employees, students and congregations.

It is slightly misleading to look outside and primarily see grass, trees and birds and think not much is happening. The birds are watching for insects or lizards and the lizards are watching for live insects, but not ants (they don't do ants), and so on. There is a LOT of activity going on in that yard.

Much news about everything and how much, about the environment is really helpful? Watching series such as, Plant Earth, The Blue Planet and others combined with personal observations have persuaded me Nature will keep what is pertinent and exterminate what isn't. Obviously, humans can, if unchecked, remove almost any form of life forever, but I am focusing on natural events.

Mentioning humans brings up our creativity. Watching any episode of Modern Marvels, Factory Made or How Stuff is Made reveals and demonstrates the unlimited creativity and inventiveness' of human kind.

An article mentioned scientists are or have found the elusive "particle". Although, the majority of very small items discovered are invisible but can be measured. One observation seems constant; there is ALWAYS something smaller than what has just been found and ALWAYS something larger than has been discovered. And what is keeping all of it together working in harmony; well science is dumbfounded.

Let's think a moment; e-Sword ASV

Col 1:16-17 for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

Joh 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

Welllll, I'm thinking we have the answer here.
Thanks for stopping by. Make it a great day.

You Just Don't Like Change!!

How many times have we heard this from people in control of the change? People in charge were convinced by those needing commissions or promotions that this new and improved tool will greatly increase productivity and profits.

Subjects, given the new tool, usually do not know how it works, what it is supposed to do or how it does it. If said subjects are trained on the new tool, it is normally very condensed and no one in their right mind expects people with normal abilities to properly learn. So:
  1. The Seller pretends a great service to Society was done and enjoys the commission.
  2. The Buyer pretends a great benefit to the Company has been performed, profits will increase and he/she will benefit professionally.
  3. The Subjects hate numbers 1 and 2 and the new tool. The benefits remain to be discovered but the threat to Subjects' security is RIGHT NOW CURRENT!
The general response to negative reactions from said Subjects is for All In Charge of Whatever to proclaim they just don't like change. Then All In Charge of Whatever go have a refreshing drink and feel good about themselves, because they have revealed their truth to all; and any negative results are not their fault.

During the forty-five years of my career, my ability to discover, repair or reveal the root cause of a given problem was my greatest asset. During my years of support to personnel receiving new software or hardware, I made the correction of this statement the introduction of every assignment. Supporting the human element was always of greater value than just addressing the mechanical issues.

Here is the corrected statement:
People do not mind change, when it comes with proper training and 24/7 support for as long as needed.

In truth, people tend to enjoy upgrades, remodels and advancements when proper instruction is provided. Management, of any type or company, considers instruction and training as a cost instead of an investment.

Now don't threaten your career by giving this explanation to your boss. They will not:
  • listen,
  • agree,
  • believe,
  • accept or,
  • change.
Many are the organizations of credible and proven business professionals that have tried for decades to present this principle, to thousands of other business professionals, with hopes of change.

NOPE, ain't gonna do it. Noway, Nohow!!
Do NOT confuse my fiction with truth!

And there you have it. So, feel better about yourself, eat chocolate, enjoy a drink of your choice and trudge on. The majority of management has no clue if what you are doing is efficient or not, nor do they care; if they did, you would be properly trained, using your new and improved product with efficiency and joy.

To the two incredible managers in my career, thank you.
God  bless.

The True Cost...Can We REALLY Afford It?

The True Cost of That House

What is the True Cost of _______ and can we really afford it? I know people that know people and we like to talk about each other. Join in for fun and enlightenment.

Example #1: A couple decide to marry and combine resources. The find a really nice deal on a beautiful upscale house in an upscale neighborhood and charge it for 30 years. Both are normally logical, rational people but the intoxication of their new marriage and Dream Home overcame everything. The discounted Dream Home originally cost about three times that of their current individual homes.

Within the first year, they were swamped by the cost of:
  • new grass for that BIG beautiful lawn,
  • repair of the sprinkling system,
  • upgrading the faucets,
  • well, let's just forget remodeling or repairing the roof.
He told me they figured with both their salaries and their large down payment, all would work out but it didn't. Two years later, the housing industry recovered, including the value of their home, with the property taxes. The last we spoke, they were selling the house.

Take a note. When anyone tells you they have this REALLY GOOD DEAL for you, my experience, over forty years is to quickly run away or die; because either way you are going to hurt. I began to question if it was such a good deal, why didn't they get the product. You are exactly correct, the only good deal was the commission or PR they got. Now, back to class.

Example #2: A guy finds a really good deal on a used luxury automobile and uses every penny he has to buy it(first warning). Registration was way more than he figured and scrapes the barrel of several friends and family to pay it(second warning). Life is wonderful as he and family enjoy the prestige of their new car for several months and then...a part breaks. The reason the very well off have these type of new vehicles is a statement to friends and colleagues they can afford the eternally huge monthly payments, regular maintenance and taxes.

Typically, the only used cars the wealthy have and keep are those so old and so costly, none else can afford them.

Example #3: Think of any company greater than the community store and I guaranty they suffer hidden losses. The larger the company, the greater training and transition costs are required but if not paid for,  their losses are hidden in the bureaucracy paperwork. Often, these losses are in the tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars per year, every year.

Example #4:
Misconceptions About Teaching and Education
Schools of Thought - Educate or Not

Guys, if you don't present your wife or girl with a gift for that special time, you will suffer loss and if you are just ignorant, you will not why it happened.

Boss, think about those employee benefits. They are saving you "untold, and often unnoticed profit" but drop them and your savings will be replaced by unseen but noted profit losses.

Humans, when we cheat God, the losses we suffer are too great too measure.

Enough said. Enjoy your life.
